Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
Here we are at the end of an incredibly busy and exciting Term Three. We have achieved so much throughout the term, and it has been wonderful to see the children meet learning expectations with developing confidence and excitement over their learning achievements. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for their consistent efforts in providing excellence in learning for all our students. I wish you all a restful and relaxing holiday.
We farewell Heather Leemon, who has resigned from her position as the administration officer at St Mary’s Yarram. Heather has been on Long Service Leave for the past twelve months and discovered a wonderful new life in Coffs Harbour. We wish Heather every happiness and thank her dearly for the nine years she spent with us. She bought to the role a serenity and genuine support for every child and family that walked through the doors of St Mary’s. Her friendship, infectious smile and great sense of humour will be sorely missed.
We congratulate Debbie Isemann as the new administration Officer for St Mary’s Yarram. We wish Debbie every success in the position and look forward to a long and happy association.
We will replace the roof of the main student building over these school holidays. I am excited to have this project off the ground after months of negotiation with DOSCEL. Weather permitting, the building project will be completed when students return for Term Four. All measures have been put in place that students will resume classes in Mary MacKillop Hall if delays occur. I will inform all families via email and Class Dojo before Term Four begins.
Have a lovely holiday, and enjoy time to relax and unwind.
Kind Regards,
Maria

Andrew Chinn, musician and composer of 'These Hands' and 'We Are God's Hands' was at St. Mary's Primary School for a concert yesterday. He had everyone dancing and singing along to his wonderful music. Thank you to everyone who could make it, we hope you enjoyed the concert.
As part of our investigation into MUSIC this term, senior students read about Andrew Chinn and his journey as a composer, musician, singer and teacher in preparation for his visit to our school on Wednesday 14th September.

What's a Clique?
Friendship is an important part of kids' development. Having friends helps them be independent beyond the family and prepares them for the mutual, trusting relationships we hope they'll establish as adults.

Andrew Chinn
Yesterday was a very special day for the Staff and Students of St. Mary’s School. Andrew Chinn once again led us in songs about God. It was fantastic to see parents, grandparents, special friends and Father Antony come along to be part of our concert in the afternoon. Father was singing along with the children and I could see he was smiling throughout the concert. Afterwards, Father Antony said that it was very uplifting to hear our children singing and enjoying celebrating God. Many years ago one of the former Parish Priests commented that singing is like praying twice.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated on the 10th of November. This will be an early evening celebration. There will be a parent information night early next Term. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated by students in Grade Three, who have been baptised.
Term Four Mass
On Friday the 7th of October we will celebrate our First Mass for Term Four. Please come along and celebrate with us. The Mass will commence at 10:00 am in the St. Mary’s Church.
Enjoy your break.
Kind Regards
