Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
We are ready for a busy Eisteddfod week with all the students excited about their upcoming performances. The days and times will be sent via Class Dojo. I ask that all students have warm coats and if they have umbrellas to have them at the ready in case of inclement weather.
Today we celebrated our first Liturgy for the term with our Junior students with a theme of “In The Beginning.”
The students shared prayer and a song to tell the beautiful creation story. We welcomed parents into our junior space, and it was wonderful to see the smiles on their faces.
Warm Regards,
Maria

Religion News: Peace
We must not forget... We must keep praying
Lord God of Peace.
Today we pray for peace, especially in those places affected by war
. As we pray that our voices combine and our hearts beat as one.
May your love and mercy flow like a river through the Immaculate Heart of Mary to bring peace to our world.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Response: Amen.
And may our prayers lead us to action, to be the hands and face of God
Every morning children who are as old as those we teach wake up to the horror of war in Ukraine. We are called to continue to pray for these children, and their families and for peace in our world.
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
The Gospel of the Lord.

School Photos were taken on Monday. We will notify all parents when they arrive.
It is not always easy for children and teenagers to always know how to manage friendships. Learning how to make new friends and keep them involves a number of skills every young person needs to understand and develop. For some these skills will come very naturally, allowing them to easily move between different friendship groups, share their experiences and open up to new people. For others, this can be much harder to navigate. Belonging to a group that is like-minded with similar interests is highly beneficial to a child’s wellbeing. Friendships are full of ups and downs and it is better for kids to learn how to manage and build their own friendships, even though as an adult carer you may be tempted to interfere.
