Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
Winter has indeed begun with bleak weather making our school yard extremely wet. Students can bring along gumboots if they wish to pull them on at recess and lunch to play in the yard. This will minimise wet shoes making students uncomfortable whilst learning.
Winter sports will be held this Friday, with students participating in football, netball, soccer and badminton. The students look forward to catching up with friends from surrounding schools and competing with their peers in team sports. We wish the students the best as they participate in this valuable school-based activity, and thank you, Anthony, for organising this event.
Stay safe,
Maria

END OF TERM CASUAL CLOTHES DAY
To mark the last day of school and just for some fun, all staff and students can dress up in odd and whacky clothes on Thursday, 23rd June.
Let your imagination run wild, wear odd socks, shoes on the wrong feet, put your clothes on backwards, pair a Santa hat with Easter bunny ears! We look forward to seeing all our students in their outrageous finery.
Happy Birthday to Saanvi and Spencer who are celebrating their birthdays this week. We hope you have a wonderful day.
On Thursday 9th June, three schools assembled at the Mary MacKillop Hall for an entertaining and educational performance all about bugs, their habitat, life cycles and oddities. The students bravely handled specimens (not live) of spiders, scorpions and beetles and learned many interesting facts about some truly bizarre, bug behaviour.
Our Junior classroom students spent their time in Art class making these beautiful Winter Wonderland posters. Well done everyone, they look lovely.
Seamus is learning different life skills. This morning, he learned about budgeting and grocery shopping. After choosing items from the catalogue, he went shopping with Jo and came back with his fruit snack for tomorrow. His excitement and enthusiasm was such a delight. Well done Seamus!
