Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
We celebrated a wonderful Mothers’ Day Breakfast on Monday morning. It was beautiful to see so many Mums, Grans, Nans, and significant women in our children's life come together and share a croissant and a cuppa. The joy on the children's faces as they shared time chatting and sharing a meal was a delight to see.
Thank you to the fantastic staff who prepared the fruit salad and croissants and organised this special event on our school calendar.
Well done, everyone! Congratulations to our Grade Three and Grade Five students who have completed a busy three days of NAPLAN. We celebrate the learning in our school and the commitment to developing the whole child and appreciate children learning at differing stages.
Good Luck to our Grade 3-6 students participating in the Yarram And District Cross Country on Thursday. We wish you all the best, and remember to try your hardest and have fun.
Take care,
Maria

Mothers' Day Breakfast
It was such a joy to see all our beautiful Mums/ Grans and Carers at our Mothers' Day Breakfast. It was a chilly morning but that did nothing to dampen the happy smiles inside the Mary MacKillop Hall on Monday.
Thank you to all the special women who were able to come and celebrate with us and to our wonderful staff who showed up early and organised the food and decorations.

JUNIOR CLASSROOM

Religion News: Love One Another
This Sunday we have a reading from Acts, chapter 14. The message from this reading is a very simple one and that is to love one another. Jesus said, “My little children I shall not be with you much longer. I give you a new commandment – love one another.”
Upon reflecting about this, love is not just a feeling but a choice we make to put the good of another before our own needs and wants. We are asked to love one another.
A very simple message but at times a difficult choice.
Let us not forget the people of Ukraine as we reflect on the message of love. Jesus gave us his life out of love.
Kind Regards
Sue Benc
