Dear Parents,
We have had another amazing week at St Mary’s. With the smooth way that all the students have transitioned back into face-to-face learning, it is hard to imagine that they were working remotely for so long. Both in the classroom and out on the yard, all the students are following our school wide expectations of, Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be a Learner. It is clearly evident that they are appreciative of being back at school and demonstrating this through both word and action.
Camps
There has been much discussion in the media around school camps. It has recently been announced that schools in regional Victoria can attend camps. Unfortunately, we cancelled our camps for this year at the end of Term 3 when we were advised by DOSCEL that this was to be done. As was announced last term, our Grade 3/4 and 5/6 School Camps will not go ahead this year.
School Photos
There has also been discussions in the media regarding school photos. Up until this week, school photos were not to go ahead. This week however, we have been granted permission to conduct school photos, as we are a regional school and our photographer is also from a regional area. St Mary’s school photos will be on Wednesday, 18th November. School photos will be conducted slightly differently; however, it is great to know that this can go ahead.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held this term. As we are still not permitted to have parents onsite, these interviews will need to be done virtually or over the phone. Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held on Wednesday, 25th November. More information will be provided regarding these in the coming weeks.
Friday Fundays
We have a number of fun Friday activities planned this term, starting with Footy Colours Day tomorrow. I’m sure these days will provide a lot of excitement around the school. Please check the calendar for these special dates so that you are well prepared.
Kind regards,
Joel
