Dear Parents and Families,

We, at St. Mary's Primary School, join our Diocese and Catholics all over the world in mourning the tragic loss of our Holy Father, Pope Francis.

In this beautiful Easter season, when we celebrate our hope in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we pray that the angels may lead Pope Francis into paradise, that the saints and martyrs welcome him and that God, in his mercy will make his face shine upon his faithful servant and grant him eternal rest.

In this Holy year, dedicated to Hope, Pope Francis’ messages show a deep care for peace and his life is a legacy that will continue to resonate throughout the future of the Church and humanity.

We remember that his message was not just a cry for an absence of war, but for the presence of justice, dialogue, and fraternity. For a world that is for everyone and not just for some, and in which those who have more; never, ever forget those who have less.

Please join us in praying for our departed Holy Father:

O God, faithful rewarder of souls, grant that your departed servant Pope Francis, whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion, which he faithfully ministered on earth. Through Christ our Lord.
