Dear Parents,
Welcome back to Term 4. Hopefully you all had an enjoyable break and were able to spend some quality time together as a family. The highlight of my holidays was our few days at Wilson’s Prom, where we spent time with friends, went on many walks and even had a swim and a surf.
It has been pleasing to see the children back at school this week and I have enjoyed having the opportunity to catch up with them all. The classrooms have been a hive of activity and everyone has settled back into the routine of school beautifully. The children also look excited to be back with their friends!
Whilst returning to face-to-face schooling is a positive step, some children may experience anxiety about it. If your child is showing signs of anxiety, I encourage you to have a conversation with them explaining that:
- The decision to return to school is based on medical advice
- Children do not usually get sick from COVID-19
- Everyone at school is working hard to make sure that children are safe
- Anyone who is unwell will stay at home
- The government is keeping an eye on things – if it starts to be unsafe, decisions about what to do will be made
- It is normal for them to have mixed emotions.
It is also important for you and your child to discuss:
- What they are looking forward to and what they are worrying about
- What hygiene practices will help to keep them safe
- What they enjoyed at school or felt worried about.
Returning to school full time may result in your child may be more tired than normal. Establishing a good morning and night routine will provide your child with the structure they need to support them in this period of readjustment.
As always, if you have any concerns about your child, please contact myself or your child’s teacher and we can support you where needed.
Kind regards,
Joel
Principal

SPRING
Spring is warm
Spring is wonderful
Spring is fun for everyone.
I taste the Spring air
I watch the birds singing a melody
I touch the beautiful Spring flowers.

SPRING
It is Spring,
Have some fun
It is hot
And it is cold
Everyday, all day long
I go outside
Play in the pool
But when it is cold
I go inside
And sit near the fire
With a hot chocolate
All day long.

SPRING
Flowers blooming in the sun
Animals coming out for fun.
Green leaves growing on the trees
Bumble bees go out for feed.
Birds tweeting songs all day
Excited children go out to play.
Big green fields full of flowers
Showering water in fields.
Now that Spring has finally come
We have days with so much fun.
