Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to share that our Grandparents Day celebration was a resounding success! Thank you to everyone who participated, making the event a heartwarming tribute to the love and wisdom that grandparents and special people bring into our lives. Meeting and sharing a cuppa and scone with many new faces was incredible. Thank you to all the staff for the exciting and fun activities planned to engage all our special visitors.
As we celebrate the importance of family bonds, we also want to emphasise child safety, especially around busy intersections. We encourage everyone to use the designated crossing when dropping children off at school. Safety is a shared responsibility, and we can ensure a secure environment for our children.
Thank you once again for making Grandparents Day a memorable occasion. Let’s continue to cherish our loved ones and prioritise the safety of our community.
A Big thank you to Sharon, who coordinated our Book Fair for 2024. Excited conversations resonated around the library as our students made their wishlists and decided on the books to purchase. So far, we have made $1500 from our book sales, which is a fantastic result.
Tomorrow, we welcome the children from the Yarram Early Learning Centre to our junior classroom for a morning of exciting activities. It will be lovely to share our beautiful school with new little faces.
We have a hectic term ahead of us. Please access event dates via the newsletter and Class Dojo updates.
Maria

Religious News: Thursday 24th of October
Next Friday is All Saint’s Day.
All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls' Day, which is observed on November 2, and is dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.
Although millions, or even billions of people may already be saints, All Saints' Day observances tend to focus on known saints --that is those recognized in the canon of the saints by the Catholic Church.
All Saints' Day is also commemorated by members of the Eastern Orthodox Church as well as some protestant churches, such as Lutheran and Anglican churches.
Generally, All Saints' Day is a Catholic Holy Day of Obligation, meaning all Catholics are required to attend Mass on that day, unless they have an excellent excuse, such as serious illness.
