Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term Three. I hope you enjoyed a restful break with your family and friends! As we enter winter weather, it's crucial to keep our focus on staying healthy and maintaining a positive learning environment. This term, we emphasise the school-wide expectation of responsibility in our actions and taking care of ourselves.
As temperatures drop and flu season approaches, it's essential to prioritise our health.
Encourage everyone to dress warmly, stay hydrated, and practice good hygiene habits like washing hands frequently. This proactive approach can minimise disruptions to learning and keep everyone feeling their best.
Additionally, let's reinforce our commitment to responsibility across all aspects of school life.Whether completing assignments on time, treating others with respect, or taking care of school property, each act of responsibility contributes to a supportive and productive community.
Let's make this term successful by embodying responsibility and promoting a healthy,
positive environment for all. Together, we can achieve great things this term.
The Eisteddfod is just around the corner! Our students have been working hard, preparing for
this celebration of talent and creativity.
We have talented students involved in recitations, vocal groups, and the school choir,
showcasing their skills and dedication. The Eisteddfod provides a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and appreciate the artistic achievements of our students.
Let's show our support and enthusiasm for all participants as they bring their best
performances to the stage. It will surely be a memorable event highlighting the creativity and talent within our school community.
Stay tuned for more updates and details as we approach the Eisteddfod. We can't wait to see our students shine!

Mental Health and Wellbeing News
Dear Parents and Carers,
Everyone has heard of Kids Helpline from the television or other means of advertising and probably associate it with children in crisis. It is in fact a very useful tool that all children can access via their website. I encourage you to have a look as they have some great information and tools in a range of topics to help children during their school years.
Not only do they provide free support and counselling for 5-25-year old’s they also have a social media platform called “My Circle” that is moderated by counsellors but connects children with other children to talk about different things. Its all about good mental health. They have heaps of self-help information, including mental health information, real life stories, videos, quizzes and fun stuff too.
There are sections for schools, parents, kids, teens and young adults with some great relevant information. The web address is https://kidshelpline.com.au/ . It is a great resource that can be used at home.
If you have any questions or queries or would like more information on any of the information provided please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sacrament of Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Sunday the 28th of July. We pray for Jikaya, Inara, Cassie and Peter as they continue to prepare for this special Sacrament. Everyone is invited to the Confirmation Mass. Bishop Greg Bennet will be celebrating this mass with Father Confidence.
Feast of St Joachim and St Anne
The Feast day of Jesus’ grandparents is on the 26th of July. St. Joachim and St. Anne.
Some thought about grandparents.
Grandparents are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you know they’re there.
Grandparents always have time for you when everyone else is too busy.
Grandparents are like magicians. They can create wonderful memories for their grandchildren out of thin air.
Grandfathers are for loving and fixing things.
A grandmother is a safe haven.
Grandparents serve kisses, cuddles and cookies daily.
Parents know a lot, but grandparents know everything.
Blessed are those who spoil and snuggle, hug and hope, pray and pamper, for they shall be called grandparents.
Andrew Chinn has a lovely song especially for grandparents.
