Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,
It has been lovely to welcome the warmer weather this week and a reminder that all students are required to wear our St Mary’s school hat and have a water bottle they can access throughout the day.
Tomorrow we will come together for a Remembrance Day ceremony to celebrate the lives of those brave men and women who bravely fought for our country. The senior students will represent our school at the Yarram RSL Remembrance Day ceremony, an opportunity to come together as a broader community to pay our respects.
The term is flying by, and our calendar is extremely full! Please take the time to familiarise yourself with all our up-and-coming school events.
Our Christmas raffle will be drawn at the end of the term, and a table is now positioned in the school foyer for any donations that will allow us to make up our prizes.
Take care.
Maria

Religious News: Thursday the 10th of November 2022
Reconciliation: Mia and Macy will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation next Thursday evening. Please pray for them as they continue on their Sacramental journey.
Preparing children for the Sacrament of Reconciliation allows us to show them that God is love and that in mercy He is always ready to forgive, no matter what the wrong. It assures them that God already knows the secrets of our hearts, but sometimes we need to name these aloud in order to prepare our hearts to renew the experience of God's love and forgiveness. It shows them that just as God is One, God dreams that we might all be one as well--one with each other and one with God. God's will is that all people will be reconciled with one another and with God. What an extraordinary gift!
Liturgy and Mass
On Friday, Grade Five will lead the Liturgical Assembly. The focus of the Liturgy is Dignity. The Liturgy will commence at 2:30 pm in the Senior Learning Space.
Next Thursday, we will celebrate a Whole School Mass commencing at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church.
Remembrance Day
Tomorrow is Remembrance Day where we take time to reflect on those that fought in the wars so that we may live in peace. We pray for peace not only for ourselves but for everyone in our world. Our student leaders will attend the memorial at the Cenotaph tomorrow with the Yarram Community and our Grades Three and Four students will lead our school in a Remembrance Day Liturgy at 10:30 am in the St Mary’s Mackillop Hall.
Parents are welcome to attend.
Kind Regards,
Sue Benc
