MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
What a wild week of wind and rain we have had! Hopefully you have all managed to stay safe, well and dry. Despite the wild weather, St Mary’s has continued to be a hive of activity, with focused learning happening in all our classrooms.
Today, all the students were involved in an AFL Taster Clinic with Michael Roberts from AFL Victoria. This clinic, gave the students the opportunity to practice some general ball skills as well as football specific skills in a fun and interactive way. If the smiles on the students faces are anything to go by, they all had a great time!
Today we also celebrated our fortnightly whole school mass at the Church. The mass, which was led by our Grade 2/3 class, focussed on the beginning events of Holy Week. We listened to the Gospel stories, which retold the events of Palm Sunday and the Last Supper. Father Antony asked the students many questions related to Holy Week and he was amazed by their knowledge and understanding. This was another great celebration and it was pleasing to see a number of families present. We look forward to our Stations of the Cross next Thursday at 11:30am and hope that you can join us.
