MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome Back to Term 3 – Semester Two Begins!
We’re delighted to welcome all students and families back to St Mary's for the start of Term 3.
A reminder to please drop off and pick up safely at the beginning and end of each school day. When parking opposite the school, please use the pedestrian crossing to ensure the safety of all children and families. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe.
As the winter season continues, the correct winter uniform is expected to be worn each day. With colds and winter lurgies going around, please help us keep everyone well by ensuring your child is healthy enough to attend school. We also appreciate your support in contributing a box of tissues to your child’s classroom.
At St Mary's, our Whole School Approach to Positive Behavioural Support (WSAPBS) is rooted in responsibility, respect, and safety. This means that students are encouraged and supported to make positive choices, take responsibility for their actions, and contribute to a calm and caring school environment.
We’re also excited that the Eisteddfod is just around the corner! Students in Grades 1–6 will present class recitations, while vocal groups and dramatic plays are well underway in preparation. It’s always a highlight of our calendar and a wonderful way to celebrate creativity, confidence, and community spirit.
I will be taking leave for the week beginning July 28th. Debra Owens and Anthony Sheedy will be Acting Principals in my absence.
We look forward to a busy and fulfilling term ahead!
Maria
