Dear Parents and Friends of St Mary’s,

After a disrupted couple of weeks of students and staff absences due to COVID and influenza, we see class numbers return to full capacity. As mentioned previously, please keep children home if they present with colds and feel miserable.

We were delighted to have a cultural performance from “Wild Man”,…  A Naturalist who took the children on an educational adventure into the habitat and lifecycles of bugs and all things that creep, slither and crawl. After many lost opportunities to gather due to restrictions, we welcomed surrounding schools to our Mary MacKillop Hall for this wonderful educational experience.

Thank you to Heather for organising this exciting school event, coordinating times, and organising schools to gather.

We have noticed that there has been an increase in absences outside of illness that are causing myself and staff concerns. Please consider time away from school is detrimental to your child's learning and wellbeing. Students can not have consistent learning experiences if they are not present, and our committed team are working tirelessly to find the time to catch up on vital learning opportunities.

As we move into the winter months, jackets are encouraged for extra warmth; however, these are not to replace our winter uniform. We have a beautiful uniform, let's wear it correctly. Students will be asked to place jackets into pigeon holes with their bags. Therefore they will be required to have jumper and polo tops available.
